CES 2024 Opened
NVIDIA hosted an online event during CES to announce the RTX 40 SUPER series of graphics cards, including the RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER models. The RTX 4070 SUPER will go on sale on January 17th, starting at $599 USD. With 20% more CUDA cores than the RTX 4070, it can nearly double the frame rate of the RTX 3090 at a fraction of the power consumption, and can reach 100 FPS at 1440p for today’s mainstream high-performance demanding games. The 4070 SUPER will be available in both stock and factory-overclocked versions, and will be customized for ASUS, Qihong, Kengtan, Antares, GIGABYTE, and Ingram Micro, KFA2, MSI, Tongde, Bienvenido, and Zotac. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER goes on sale on January 24th, starting at $799 USD. The frame buffer has been increased to 16GB, and both memory and CUDA cores have been boosted to 1.6x faster than the 3070 Ti, and up to 2.5x with DLSS 3 enabled. NVIDIA says it can run full 1440p panels with high refresh rates and even 4K gaming. The RTX 4080 SUPER goes on sale on January 31st, starting at $999 USD. Meanwhile, the GeForce Now service has announced that it will be getting cloud-based G-Sync support and will be available for day passes in addition to existing monthly subscriptions starting in early February, with day passes that include RTX 4080 server connectivity priced at $7.99 for a full day of the service, and regular day passes for $3.99. In addition, Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 will soon join the GeForce Now service.
AMD announced the Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card at CES, featuring 16GB of GDDR6 memory at 2.47 GHz for a “fast, silky-smooth, visually stunning gaming and light-tracing experience at 1080p,” which can be extended to 1440p with FSR 3, HYPR-RX and Fluid Motion Frames. The RX 7600 XT will be available for purchase on January 24th for $329 USD from Acer, ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, XFX, Sapphire, and XFX. Source
Meanwhile, AMD announced its next-generation desktop processors, including the Ryzen 8000G series based on the AM5 platform, and the new Ryzen 5000 series processors based on the AM4 series.
Based on the Zen 4 architecture, the Ryzen 8000G series features the Ryzen 7 8700G with 8 cores, 16 threads, 24MB cache, and Radeon 780M graphics, while the Ryzen 5 8600G features 6 cores, 12 threads, 22MB cache, and Radeon 760M graphics. Both include the Ryzen AI Technology NPU to optimize AI loads. The Ryzen 5 8500G and Ryzen 3 8300G are also available, and all four are scheduled to go on sale on January 31, with OEMs shipping models with these chips in the second quarter.
HP announces the Omen Transcend 32 monitor, featuring a 240 Hz 4K 32-inch OLED panel with integrated HyperX tuned audio and a separate switchable USB port for 140W USB-C power.

Apple Vision Pro Scheduled for February 2 U.S. Availability
On January 8, Apple’s U.S. website announced that Apple Vision Pro will be available for purchase in the U.S. on February 2, both offline and online at the Apple Store. Pre-orders will open at 5 a.m. PST on Jan. 19, with pricing starting at $3,499 (256GB). The Zeiss Optical Insert Reading and Prescription versions, sold separately, are priced at $99 and $149, respectively.
Google to Remove Some Features in Assistant
January 12, 2011 – Google has announced that it will be removing some of the “underutilized” features in Assistant on January 26, Google said: This decision is designed to prioritize the experiences users love and invest in improving its underlying technology. Google also said it will continue to work on making Assistant more useful, and that future updates will be handled by Bard. A total of 17 features will be removed, including the ability to use your voice to play and control audiobooks on Google Play Books, set or use media, music or radio alarms, manage timers on smart speakers and smart displays, call devices or broadcast messages to Google Home Groups by voice, send email and video or audio messages by voice, and more.
Adobe will No Longer Support Creative Cloud File Synchronization
On January 9, Adobe sent a notice to users stating that starting February 1, 2024, Adobe will no longer provide Creative Cloud file synchronization to free and paid personal users (except Enterprise and Team Edition accounts), and that files stored in Creative Cloud will not be synchronized with the cloud, and Adobe will delete files and folders in the cloud.
